Assistant Program Director - Flex Online MS
Mays Business School is seeking an Assistant Program Director for Flex Online MS programs! In this role, you'll develop and implement innovative virtual coaching strategies tailored for online learners, guiding them individually and in affinity groups along their career development paths. You'll provide expert advice in areas such as self-awareness, career awareness, interest, fit, and skills, while offering constructive feedback on their progress. Additionally, you'll coach students in translating technical skills into business competencies. Develop and implement virtual coaching strategies and tools specifically designed for online learners. Individually and in affinity groups, work with Flex Online MS students to support their growth along a career development path. Advise and guide in areas including self-awareness, career awareness, interest, fit, and skills. Review, assess, and provide students with constructive feedback on progress and actions in each career development area. Work with students to guide, critique, and revise multiple forms of written & verbal communication. Coach/advise students in resume/cover letter/LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation, networking skills, professional presence, elevator pitch, personal brand development, and how to translate technical skills into business competencies. Career Program Operations
Coordinate continuous improvement of career programing online. Carry out and oversee ongoing and recurring career program operation activities to include compiling and distributing resume books, administering relevant employment websites, career data management, preparing employer materials, and other operational and administrative tasks as assigned. Collaborate with employers to develop opportunities suited for Flex Online MS students across business disciplines. Facilitate virtual employer connections and networking opportunities for remote students. Education/Training
Delivers state-of-the-art career education and readiness programs for Flex Online MS students virtually. Sets new standards in online career education and preparation. Provides students with lifelong career management skills tailored to their specific program focus emphasizing the transition to a business-oriented career path. Creates asynchronous career development resources accessible to students on demand. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree - Business, Human Resource Management, Instructional Design and Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Four years of program coordination or closely related experience. Experience working with online/distance education students in higher education. Professional experience in career services or providing academic support for career path planning. Some leadership experience. Professional experience guiding students' career development and career decision-making. Professional experience as a recruiter with talent acquisition emphasis. Experience of working with people across business disciplines like MIS, HR, Marketing, and Accounting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office facets. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience with virtual career coaching and online program delivery. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to use Generative AI tools securely in supporting students and enhancing everyday tasks. Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.) Familiarity with online learning platforms and virtual collaboration tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent decision-making skills. Ability to work independently once given a project. Ability to manage multiple, ongoing programs and services. Knowledge of word and spreadsheet applications.
