Tax and Accounting Professional
to join our team. In this role, you will prepare clients tax filings and help with bookkeeping needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of tax laws and best practices in tax preparation.
Responsibilities Assist CPA staff by organizing client information into workpapers Prepare first draft of tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, etc. Analyze income statements, previous tax returns, and other financial records to determine taxable income Make appropriate adjustments to client ledgers as needed Provide bookkeeping services for clients as needed Communicate with clients in professional manner Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field preferred Recent CPA licensing or CPA candidate preferred but not required. Valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) Previous experience as a Tax Professional Knowledge of federal and state tax laws Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Wave Xero, etc.) Excellent mathematical and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills
