System Administrator/Operator
The System Administrator/Operator will serve as the primary technical support professional at a secure government healthcare facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of local IT systems and network resources. The position provides advanced technical expertise in system administration, network operations, and end-user support while ensuring compliance with applicable federal cybersecurity and privacy standards. Key Responsibilities
Systems & Network Administration Manage and maintain servers, network devices, and directory services to ensure high availability and reliability. Configure and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and other system settings to align with security and operational requirements. Oversee patch management, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities to sustain optimal performance. Cybersecurity & Compliance Support ongoing cybersecurity compliance activities, including vulnerability scanning, remediation, and documentation. Utilize security tools to monitor system health, identify threats, and ensure adherence to mandated security standards. Implement and maintain access control measures to safeguard information systems and sensitive data. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide Tier 13 technical support to local users, including workstation setup, software installation, and hardware replacement. Resolve escalated technical issues efficiently, coordinating with enterprise IT teams when required. Support device imaging, configuration, and deployment for desktops, laptops, and other approved devices. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network changes, and incident resolutions. Develop and update technical procedures, guides, and operational documentation.
