Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for a 12 Month extendable W2 Contract for our valued Client. This is Onsite in Washington, DC.
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Solutions Architect with strong expertise in cloud technologies, cloud infrastructure, Cloud solutions, automation, AI tools, and enterprise solution architecture. This role involves designing and implementing advanced cloud-based solutions, leveraging AI and automation to streamline complex processes, and ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure environments. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to support business transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities

• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Anthropic, agentic AI frameworks) to augment business processes, develop intelligent automation solutions, and drive operational efficiency.
• Lead the design and deployment of cloud-native applications and infrastructure at scale using services from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Integrate cloud solutions with on-premises systems from vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, and more.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, PowerShell, or Python.
• Develop and maintain repeatable and scalable automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and management.
• Apply best-practice solution architecture principles to design secure, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, system requirements, and architectural diagrams.
• Evaluate and optimize existing and proposed systems for performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose system improvements to leadership and stakeholders.
• Prepare and present management briefings, technical documentation, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create detailed architecture diagrams and illustrations using tools like draw.io, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and implementation plans.
• Communicate technical guidance and status updates clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  

Skills & Experience

• Have practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Anthropic, agentic AI approaches.
• Exhibit high level of technical competence in using operating environments, tools, and technologies commonly used in best-practice solution architectures.
• Demonstrate automating complex tasks using scripting or coding skills, or tools (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
• Have prior experience such as designing, developing, implementing, or maintaining compute technology.
• Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures, develop requirements and identify system solutions in detailed measurable terms that achieve optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
• Strong proficiency in technical illustration using tools such as draw.io, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint.
• Expert knowledge of cloud services from one or more of the primary Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)(Amazon, Microsoft or Google), and the ability to integrate cloud services with on-premises technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
• Experience leading the design, development and deployment of performant cloud business software at scale; or current hands-on experience implementing cloud technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• Communication, orally and in writing, sufficient to develop and present management briefings; provide written and/or verbal guidance on technical issues; and prepare/present recommendations and reports.
  

Pay Rate
The pay rate on this role is $80.00 - $100.00 per hour W2. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
