Mid-Level Developer
CGI Federal is currently looking for a Mid-Level Developer with an active Top-Secret clearance to support a large project for a federal government client. The developer will be responsible for supporting Agile software development and system integration efforts, encompassing initial planning, design, software development and coding, prototyping, auditable documentation, manual testing, automated testing, and configuration.
This position will be based in Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL. Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Proficient with Power BI, data analysis, data query, data aggregation, data visualization, software development, system architecture, data transformation, data management, and big data technology.
- Capable of utilizing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
- Experience in writing complex statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views implement business intelligence and data warehouse solutions.
- Solid foundation in, and application of, data warehousing and reporting platform concepts with the ability to recommend solutions and drive best practices.
- Familiarity with multiple business intelligence environments is preferred.
- Develop ETL mappings to extract data from a source data system (databases, files, etc.), transform the data based on business requirements, and load the data into a target data system (databases, files, etc.).
- Conduct performance tuning of the mapping developed to ensure that the data is extracted, transformed, and loaded in a reasonable amount of time based on the requirements.
- Develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports using BI software and perform unit testing of the reports developed.
- Work on multiple phases of the Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, development, testing and deployment) of BI Dashboard and reports.
- Develop required documentation in support of the development life cycle.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Software Developer.
- Experience in ElasticSearch, Vue.js, Java Spring Framework, and .NET Framework web services.
- Practice in Agile methodology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, customers, and support personnel.
