Description

The Front-End Supervisor oversees daily activities of front-end operations in the grocery store. Responsible for supervising cashier staff, ensuring efficient checkout processes, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervision of Checkout Operations Oversees cashier activities to ensure efficient and accurate transactions. Monitors checkout lines to minimize wait times and ensure customer satisfaction. Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues promptly. Works with Front End Manager to ensure appropriate staffing of checkout lanes and Trains new cashiers on checkout procedures, customer service standards, and product knowledge. In collaboration with the Front-End Manager, addresses disciplinary issues or performance concerns according to company policies. Ensures front end staff receive breaks.
Cash Handling and Security Works with Front End Manager in managing cash registers, including opening and closing procedures, balancing drawers, and performing cash drops. Enforces cash handling policies and security measures to prevent theft or fraud. Conducts regular cash audits and reconciles discrepancies.
Customer Service Greets customers and provides assistance as needed. Resolves customer complaints or escalates issues to the Front-End Manager or Store Leadership as necessary. Ensures a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.
Safety and Compliance Ensures safety protocols and sanitation standards are being follows. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, including food safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Minimum age of 18. Previous experience in retail or grocery store environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale systems. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and inventory management practices. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
