This position is in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, Information Technology Section. The incumbent will support the Child Support Services Division (CSSD) databases. The mission of the CSSD is to enhance the well-being of children by ensuring accurate and timely financial and medical support. The CSSD Database Administrator provides, at minimum, the following services related to Microsoft SQL Server databases: Designs and maintains on-premises SQL Server databases and tables Provides customer support to internal and external customers Produces system and custom reports using SQL queries Prepares technical documentation, including data dictionaries, system flows, program flows, and database designs Oversees enhancements and new feature deployment, including development requirements and testing scripts Responsible for diagnosing and resolving database problems Recommends improvements to database systems based on latest IT developments Contract Job Description
Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and implements projects to support the Districts growing information demands. Ensures effective use of District resources. Contributes to policies for effective process planning related to new requirements. Possesses expert knowledge of SQL, especially in planning, analysis, design, and implementation of reports and report interfaces for end users. Participates in short-term tactical planning. Contributes to long-term strategic planning. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelors degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
