We’re looking to hire a junior and a mid-senior level equipment designer / builder. We’re seeking strong generalists, with positive attitudes, a thirst for obtaining technical skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Our ideal candidate is as comfortable modeling in SolidWorks, as they are laying out and wiring a control panel, programming a PLC, machining a part, or plumbing a pneumatic valve bank. That said, we don’t expect anyone to join having mastered all of the aforementioned disciplines or skills, but rather do expect everyone to teach and learn on the job. We thrive on cross-pollination. Basic skills and qualifications required include (1) a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, mechatronics, or electrical engineering, or materials science,

or

comparable industry experience, (2) a strong mastery of SolidWorks CAD software, (3) exceptional hands-on skills, knowledge of hand and power tools, machining and fabrication equipment and techniques, etc. and (4) strong communication skills, with coworkers and customers. This is a rare opportunity to build your own designs, while working on a small, tight-knit team, where your voice bears significant weight, and your influence is broadly impactful.
