Job Summary: The Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering Expert supports manufacturing operations through technical oversight, process improvement initiatives, and workflow coordination. This role involves providing guidance to floor staff, supporting production targets, maintaining safety and quality standards, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve departmental outcomes in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an on-the-floor operations lead during supervisor absence. Support workflow, training, and performance improvement for the production team. Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analyses. Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and quality protocols. Lead by example in meeting performance, compliance, and safety expectations. Maintain accurate records, stock locations, and a clean, organized work area. Support process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies. Operate and monitor powered industrial equipment, reactor systems, centrifuges, ion exchange columns, dryers, and DCS systems. Communicate effectively across all staff levels and departments. Train new personnel as needed and foster team motivation. Monitor and report unsafe conditions to management. Engage in continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration. Required Experience:
1+ years of production experience. Experience operating chemical manufacturing equipment. Nice-to-Have Experience:
2-3 years of similar manufacturing experience. Customer interaction background. Knowledge of SAP, Word, Excel, Access. Familiarity with Lean, PDSA, or Six Sigma methodologies. Required Skills:
