Job Description Job Title: Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Profession: Advanced Practice Specialty: Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 8x5 - 09AM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience License: Board Certification required
Certifications: ACLS: Yes BLS: Yes
Must-Have: Board Certification
Description: NP/PA first assist role for assisting cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vein harvesting. Minimum of 3 assistants scheduled per day. 1-3 surgical procedures per day. No hospital rounding requirement or admission requirement. 1 call day per week and 1 day backup. 1:4 weekend call rotation. 20 minute response time to call. Low call back need, typically 1-2 times per month. Shifts are from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Call and call backup start at 3:00 PM. Weekend call starts Friday at 3:00 PM until Monday at 6:30 AM. Patient encounters per shift: 1-3. Trauma level of the facility: 3. PEDs Level: 0. Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30 days. Fellowship required: 2 years.
