Summary
Job Summary:
Under close supervision, the Radiologic Technologist (Multi-Modality) performs diagnostic imaging examinations including general Radiography and Fluoroscopy, following established procedures. Performs related duties as required.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Note: Employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual.
Assist physicians in administering contrast media.
Rotate assignments within the department to meet needs.
Process images for modalities (CR/DR/Film) and utilize PACS system proficiently.
Maintain records of examinations, doses, and contrast used, ensuring proper patient identification.
Assist with patient movement and positioning.
Assist in developing and optimizing radiographic procedures.
Support in equipment or procedures beyond routine training.
Assist in training students as applicable.
Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment.
Conduct routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic duties.
Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of environment and supplies.
Check stock regularly, use first-in-first-out for supplies.
Produce radiographs, position and transfer patients, and use immobilization devices as needed.
Follow radiation safety standards and promote ALARA principles.
Operate imaging equipment as directed and licensed.
Qualifications:
Required Education : High school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Preferred Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Experience:
Proficiency in at least three modalities, including X-ray and Fluoroscopy. Additional modalities like CT, MRI, or Mammography are preferred with appropriate certifications (ARRT, CRT, etc.).
Required Licenses/Certifications : Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification, California Fluoroscopy Permit, BLS certification.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with necessary licenses or certifications, is qualifying.
Pay Range: $54.22/HR - $71.25/HR
The final salary will depend on experience, education, skills, licenses, departmental needs, and organizational policies. Alameda Health System offers a comprehensive benefits package.
