AI Lead Machine Learning Operator
within our Applied
AI Center of Excellence
based in
Houston, TX . The incumbent will be responsible for scaling, monitoring, maintaining, updating, and re-training machine learning and artificial intelligence systems and models. Essential Job Responsibilities
Monitor all deployed machine learning and artificial intelligence models and systems. Update, re-train, and improve ML and AI models and systems in collaboration with IT specialists and data scientists. Coordinate with users to solicit performance feedback and feature requests. Maintain a roadmap for new features. Build and lead a team of ML Operators to maintain Oxy’s growing portfolio of models and applications. Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or related field required. PhD degree is highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience and deep knowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and/or scientific computing required. Strong Python programming skills required. Knowledge of Linux environment required. Experience developing, architecting, and running ML or deep learning workloads in the Cloud. Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration. Understanding of data engineering principles and databases (relational, NoSQL). Proven ability to interact with users to determine their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Experience in managing a small team and being a team player in a cross-functional group. Additional Desired Qualifications
Certified in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud provider is highly preferred. Ideally AWS certified in Machine Learning Specialty.
