Job Description Position: API Analyst Duration: 6-12 months Location: Seattle, WA W2 and C2C ok We seek an experienced and motivated candidate to collaborate with multiple teams to drive consistency, best practices, and efficient API architecture. The candidate should have experience as a functional analyst within a Web API team delivering external APIs for various applications. Responsibilities include participating in JAD meetings, architecture discussions, and maintaining standards and best practices documentation. Project Background: This long-term position requires the candidate to be local to Seattle or willing to relocate. The company has started a SOA journey, developing APIs across front-end and back-end systems. Skills Required: Understanding of data modeling, relational and non-relational sources Knowledge of XML, XSDs, and messaging patterns using XML Understanding of JSON and its advantages over XML messaging Knowledge of RESTful services, including: API modeling across enterprise systems HTTP methods and CRUD mapping HTTP error codes and standardization API versioning and backward compatibility API security mechanisms and their strengths/weaknesses Ability to document and present best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Background in integration analysis Ability to connect with people, empathize, and guide teams towards enterprise API standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
