Qualifications:
2+ years experience in RPG programming in an IBM i (iSeries/AS400) environment. Must have retail experience, preferably with Island Pacific ERP. US or Green Card holder. Salary up to $150k. Position Summary:
Rainbow Shops is seeking a highly skilled RPG Programmer to support, maintain, and enhance our core ERP systems, primarily Island Pacific, within a dynamic retail environment. Responsibilities include supporting daily operations, developing applications, collaborating with users and vendors, and managing projects. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day support for ERP systems, resolving user issues efficiently. Develop, modify, and maintain applications using RPG, CL, and embedded SQL on IBM iSeries. Work with business users and IT leadership to define requirements and deliver enhancements. Manage programming projects and change requests under the direction of the VP of IT. Coordinate with external vendors for project delivery and support. Create system documentation and technical specifications. Qualifications: 10+ years RPG programming experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400). Strong knowledge of Island Pacific ERP; Lawson ERP experience is a plus. Familiarity with i5/OS, iSeries networking, Windows, MS Office, Lotus Notes. Experience supporting retail systems and eCommerce integration is highly desirable. Proficiency with RPG tools and techniques including RLU, SDA, subfile programming, embedded SQL, FTP/SFTP, PGP encryption, and label printers. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
