Overview
Centurion Consulting Group is currentlyseeking a highly skilled IT Developer to join our team in support of the Office of Information Resources Management and Technology Services (IRM&TS). In this role, the IT Developer will provide essential technical support and expertise to ensure the efficient development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with development teams, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions that optimize application performance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: As an IT Developer, your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting IRM&TS management as directed, ensuring alignment with technical goals and objectives.
Running and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Administering critical analysis of test results and delivering effective solutions to problem areas.
Installing and upgrading software products as needed.
Writing programming scripts to enhance the functionality and appearance of company websites and related web applications.
Provisioning development environments (local, virtual, or cloud-based).
Designing, deploying, and maintaining deployment scripts and artifact repositories.
Automating routine tasks such as code formatting, testing, and linting.
Performing other tasks as assigned in support of operational needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates must have demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in the following areas: Strong skills in developing applications and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, CSS, SQL, GitHub Enterprise, and AWS Cloud environments.
Experience in automating tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
Developing and maintaining web services; experience with MVC, WCF, and Web APIs preferred.
Designing and maintaining user interfaces (UI) with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Node.js, Chart.js, Bootstrap, and UI Ajax.
Heavy SQL experience including stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in building web applications using ASP.NET Core and developing RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API.
Understanding of ASP.NET Core middleware, custom middleware, dependency injection, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
Experience using Razor syntax for dynamic content generation in views.
Expertise in DOM traversal and manipulation, jQuery event handling, AJAX requests, and customizing jQuery plugins.
Developing responsive web applications using Bootstrap, including grid layout design, component customization, and theming using CSS and SASS.
Preferred Education and Certifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field is preferred.
Certifications (Preferred): Certified Software Development Professional
(ISC)² CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional
