Our residents are our top priority, and our DON directly impacts the quality of life our residents have by being proactive in all health management aspects. Our Director of Nursing ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. What does that look like? Managing the Care Services Department entirely. Leadership, customer services, safety and resident care and communication are top priority Serve as the liaison between resident, family, physician, and other health care providers regarding health care issues. Perform hands-on care procedures within the scope of practice as allowed by state law. Routinely monitor Resident Services outcomes by evaluating performance of staff and ensure compliance with regulations. Effective and efficient organization, staffing and support of philosophy and objectives of the Resident Services department. Ensure resident care meets the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each resident as well as maximizing the resident care capacities, identity, independence, choice, and opportunity for social interaction. Monitor and ensure adequate schedules and staffing levels. Lead interviewing, hiring, orientation, onboarding and performance reviews of all staff. Educate team members on completing incident reports thoroughly and timely. Ensure a healthy environment, consisting of infection control practices and training is met. Be up to date on OSHA and state regulations knowledge as well as routinely monitor community compliance. Who are you? (Requirements/ Qualifications): Prior experience in assisted living environment. CPR Certified Ability to pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens. Knowledge in clinical software and State Regulations Competence in written and oral English communication, solve problems, data analytics, reports and business documentation.
