CNO Financial Group is hiring a Sr. Technical Accountant & Policy Analyst to assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures within CNO Financial Group. This is your opportunity to assist in the documentation and compliance with the Company's regulatory requirements. As a Sr. Technical Accountant & Policy Analyst, your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Contributing to accounting analysis and implementation of transactions entered into by the company. Assisting in the documentation and compliance with the Company's regulatory requirements. Monitoring changes in accounting regulations and standards and assessing their impact on the organization's financial reporting. Supporting management in providing guidance and support to finance and accounting teams on complex accounting issues for both GAAP and Statutory accounting. Contributing to the evaluation of new accounting standards, ensuring timely adoption and compliance. Collaborating with external auditors to address and resolve accounting issues and provide necessary documentation. The Sr. Technical Accountant & Policy Analyst position is well-suited for you if you: Have prior experience working on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with a detail-oriented mindset and a sense of urgency Demonstrate experience working on complex accounting topics and with internal controls Are able to work independently as well as with a team. Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, including U.S. GAAP and Statements of Statutory Accounting Principles Use research and AI tools to analyze technical accounting, reporting, and disclosure topics Desire to learn new systems and processes Have experience working with external auditors and managing the audit process preferred What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or eight years of relevant experience as equivalent Five years of related experience in technical accounting or accounting policy What will set you apart: Master's degree CPA Experience in public accounting or in the insurance industry Willingness to work in Eastern/Central timezone The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Short-term & long-term disability insurance Paid time-off and corporate holidays, Paid parental leave Company paid life insurance CNO embraces flexibility and encourages you to work where you're most productive. Pay Range: $87,400.00 - $131,000.00 Annual
