Urgent Need for Accounts Payable Specialist
Essential Skills & Experience: 2+ Accounts Payable experience Experience processing 300+ invoices/week Experience with 3-way match Tier 1 ERP experience (SAP preferred) Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred Job Description The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform a variety of routine tasks including preparing, recording, verifying, analyzing, and reporting accounts payable/receivable transactions. This role involves paying vendor invoices and receiving and posting customer payments on a timely basis. The specialist will maintain databases, reports, and records necessary to support Accounts Payable/Receivable Team activities, reconcile ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports, and perform analysis and reconciliations of bill runs for fraud detection. It is crucial to follow transaction entry verification procedures and to maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information according to company policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Prepare, record, verify, analyze, and report accounts payable/receivable transactions. Pay vendor invoices and post customer payments timely. Maintain and reconcile accounts payable/receivable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports. Perform analysis and reconciliations of bill runs for fraud detection. Ensure transaction entry verification procedures are followed. Communicate effectively through phone, e-mail, and correspondence while maintaining a professional manner. Maintain confidentiality of all financial information according to company policies. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required, with potential for nights, weekends, and additional hours as necessary. Other responsibilities as assigned. Work Environment This position is a 6-month contract with possible extension. This position is fully on-site in Simi Valley. The role may require variable schedules, including nights and weekends. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
