Job: Adjunct, Art History
Job Summary: The Art History Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach an undergraduate seminar course at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (course title pending) in the Spring 2026 semester.
Job Description:
This appointment may include preparation and follow-up work performed outside the semester, such as course preparation, attendance at meetings, course assessment, grading assignments and exams, and resolution of incomplete or disputed grades
Spring 2026
A new course (course title pending) that will be taught at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Pay Rate: $13,250
Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred, with all requirements for the degree completed by the time of hiring offer.
