This position offers a pay range of
$88,621.00/yr - $115,213.00/yr . Your actual salary will depend on your skills and experience. The role is eligible for the
Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) , which provides student loan repayment assistance, subject to eligibility and application submission within four months of appointment. Responsibilities
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Veterans, staff, and other parties. Provide professional, independent mental health treatment to Veterans with substance use disorders and complex psychosocial problems. Utilize advanced therapeutic skills, including evidence-based interventions like CBT, Motivation Enhancement, and Contingency Management. Develop treatment plans, coordinate with team members, and utilize community resources for comprehensive care. Conduct psychosocial assessments, interpret data, and identify treatment options. Utilize crisis intervention techniques and ensure safety protocols are followed. Mentor and provide supervision to colleagues and trainees. Advocate for Veterans to ensure timely access to services and benefits. Work Schedule and Conditions
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This position requires occasional ad-hoc telework. It is not a virtual role. The position involves light to moderate physical activity and requires good visual acuity. Qualifications
U.S. Citizen with a master's or doctoral degree in a relevant mental health counseling field from an accredited program. Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor. At least one year of complex LPMHC experience at the GS-11 level or higher, with five years of post-licensed experience demonstrating advanced skills. Preferred Experience
VA experience is preferred. Additional Requirements
