Specific Job Responsibilities:
Job Profile: • Work directly with customers to provide welding expertise • Work closely with welding supply vendors to fulfill customer needs • Provide expertise to customers on welding automation and robotics in the metal fabrication field • Provide welding expertise to an entire division
Skills • Key areas that must be understood are Safety, Weld Process, Weld Quality, Design, Production, Management Systems, Economics, Automation and Education. • Shall have at least ten years welding industry experience. • Competent individual with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, OFC and PAC • TQM, Lean, or Six Sigma background. • OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour card • CWSR (Certified Welding Sales Representative) desirable • Membership within organizations such as AWS, ASM, ASNT, ASQ, ASME and SME desirable • One or more of the following six Certifications • CWI (Certified Welding Inspector), • CWS (Certified Welding Supervisor) • CWE (Certified Welding Educator) • NCCER Instructor, Core & Welding • ASNT ACCP Level I, II or III, • CWEng (Certified Welding Engineer)
Qualifications: • Associate Degree Welding (AAS) • Military Weld training acceptable of Bachelor's degree or higher in Welding Technology or Welding Engineering • Minimum of 5 or more years of industrial welding experience is preferred • Additional metallurgical or mechanical engineering education, as well as design and fabrication experience are considered advantageous
