We are seeking a talented Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Applications team, with a primary focus on our Life and Annuity Agent-related systems-including the recently implemented AgentSync solution within our core Salesforce instance. This role is central to driving technical strategy, integration, and long-term architecture supporting agent onboarding, customer service, and the broader agent ecosystem.
Aligned to and supports the Product owner (Business) and the Product engineering manager (IT) of a Product-line. Works under the administrative direction of the Product management and technical direction and guidance from the Principal architect of that division to guide assigned product-line from current IT state to future goal state which aligns with long term business and technology strategies for division. Participates in and may be called upon to provide technical and architectural leadership on large and very highly complex projects that are multi-platform, cross product lines, or cross divisions.
What You'll Do In This Role
Provide end-to-end solution architecture leadership for Life and Annuity Agent systems, with a special emphasis on Salesforce (including AgentSync, AgentForce, Data Cloud and related integrations). Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Principal Architects to advance the product line from current to target state in alignment with business and technology strategy. Design and document sustainable integration patterns, leveraging modern, event-driven architecture and robust data strategies. Mentor and guide Systems Architects and Analysts, promoting architectural best practices and technical excellence. Lead architectural decisions for major initiatives such as system integrations, platform enhancements, and agent onboarding modernization. Collaborate on cost-benefit analyses, technical documentation, and project plans. Maintain solution quality and integrity through proactive review, testing, and adherence to security standards. Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Salesforce Platform Expertise Proven record in Salesforce development and administration, with deep understanding of the Salesforce object model, configuration vs. code focus, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and agent-centric tools (e.g., AgentForce, AgentSync). Strong focus on Salesforce integration architecture, including use of APIs, middleware, and Salesforce Data Cloud is a plus. Integration Patterns & Event Driven Design Hands-on experience designing and deploying event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, Confluent Platform, Managed Connectors). Expertise in integrating enterprise systems using streaming/event-based architectures. Data Integration & Transformation Strong grasp of data integration strategies, tooling, and security (SQL, MuleSoft, CDC; streaming ingestion into Data Lake platforms like Snowflake or Azure). Knowledge of data quality, data transformation, and API management at scale. Understanding of Data Lake concepts and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Azure, etc.) and their role in enterprise architecture. REST API Architectural experience with secure RESTful API design, implementation, and consumption. DevSecOps & Cloud Familiar with DevSecOps practices in Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines), automated testing, and modern deployment tooling (AWS, Azure). Domain & Industry
Business and technical background in the insurance industry-preferably life and annuity. Familiarity with agent/producer business models, onboarding processes, and regulatory nuances is a plus. What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 12+ years IT architecture and software engineering experience, including delivery of complex, multi-system solutions. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive technical decisions in a matrixed environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience implementing or supporting AgentSync. Certifications in Salesforce architecture or integration platforms.Insurance industry credentials.

Salary Range Information
USD $101,857.00 - USD $212,203.00 /Yr. Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience.
