Position Overview Are you looking for an opportunity to join our fast paced and hardworking team that supports multiple IT applications built on various technologies with continuous modernization in progress? The Application Support Professional will support Automated Underwriting Risk Assessment (AURA) within the Single-Family organization as part of a multi-skilled agile team that continuously strives to collectively discover new opportunities to implement innovative, automated and cost-efficient solutions. AURA is also leading credit and operational risk excellence towards making Freddie Mac the GSE of choice. Your Impact: You will have significant impact on conceptual development, implementation, and continuous improvement of next gen application support processes within the Single-Family Underwriting Application Support Team. You will collaborate with the team through incident detection and resolution, defect recognition and management, support of partner team distribution of software, and top tier user experience troubleshooting. Responsibilities include the following. Quickly learn new and legacy technologies and paradigms to deploy innovative and automated solutions Understand Business needs and processes; identify solutions, present and work with project team/sponsors in identifying best solution. Participate in Requirements Analysis; design Applications based on System Requirements; promote top code quality and solve challenging issues related to performance tuning and scalability. Provide production support that includes evaluate defects, investigate cause and come up with solutions to address defects. Implementation of software application changes with aggressive deployment timelines. Execute department processes in a high-quality, efficient and team-oriented manner. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in software development; 2 years of relevant experience and specialized training or certification in the following technologies: J2EE, Java, Web Development and SQL. Dev Ops and CI/CD tools Experience with HTML, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Selenium, Cucumber, JIRA, MongoDB Familiarity with Bootstrap, JSON, Jenkins, Maven Builds is a plus. Experience with Agile or Waterfall software development project methodologies. Excellent communication skills. The incumbent will be responsible for interfacing and influencing with the business lines as well as others across IT Position requires strong analytical skills, software engineering process skills, and the understanding of XML and creation of XML test data.
