Washington D.C. . This position offers flexibility, including a hybrid work schedule, to accommodate the needs of the successful candidate. The ideal applicant will be involved in a wide range of legal matters, including trial and appellate litigation, federal Indian law, tribal law, and related fields. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney eager to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Duties: Represent clients in federal, state, and tribal courts for a variety of litigation matters. Assist with trial preparation and strategy, including legal research, drafting motions, and preparing witnesses. Support appellate work, including preparing briefs and managing filings. Provide legal counsel on issues related to federal Indian law, tribal law, and other areas of law related to Native American interests. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies and ensure successful outcomes. Maintain client relationships, ensuring effective communication and responsiveness. Contribute to the firm’s growth through business development efforts and thought leadership. Requirements: 1-3 years of litigation experience, including experience in federal, state, or tribal courts. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide creative solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. A commitment to serving Native American communities and advancing Native American legal interests. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admission to the DC Bar. Skills: Excellent legal research and writing abilities. Strong oral communication skills, with the ability to present legal arguments persuasively. Knowledge of federal Indian law, tribal law, or related fields is a plus. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
