Description of Task to be Performed:
Join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer (SSE) to lead a small team of engineers in creating innovative engineering solutions. The selected candidate will collaborate with non-technical investigators and analysts to understand their technology or data needs, recommend solutions, and translate those needs into technical requirements. The SSE will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and quality assurance. The SSE will also be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and debugging software, either independently or as part of a team, including but not limited to:
Developing new custom capabilities Modifying existing code Implementing process improvements Automating workflows and operations & maintenance tasks Handling large-scale data processing Building computationally intensive statistical models Developing advanced analytics Additional responsibilities include:
Scope and develop new features Troubleshoot issues and assist customers Review logs to scope patches Refactor code for improvements Create or assist in creating basic software documentation The SSE will evaluate COTS, GOTS, OSS, and other software systems to implement complex data and technology solutions and will programmatically integrate third-party components. This position is on-site in Huntsville, AL, requiring a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a CI clearance with a polygraph. Required Qualifications:
Expert proficiency in all functional responsibilities Deep knowledge of software engineering Proficiency with Python and JavaScript Demonstrable leadership experience Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics Preferred Qualifications:
High proficiency with HTML, CSS, C#, and Java Degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required Benefits
