Anchorage, Soldotna, Wasilla salary: $1,999.50 / $2,296.50 / $2,646.00 / $3,028.50 Fairbanks salary: $2,059.50 / $2,365.50 / $2,725.50 / $3,119.25 Juneau salary: $2,099.25 / $2,411.25 / $2,778.00 / $3,180.00 What You Will Be Doing: In this Analyst/Programmer 1/2/3/4 position, you will join a small team responsible for all custom data systems and software applications in the Division of Spill Prevention and Response. Key Duties Include: Collaborating with team members and program staff to identify software specifications and effective solutions. Developing automated tests. Redeveloping existing data management systems to enhance accessibility, data integration, service quality, and reliability. Supporting and enhancing existing software systems. Assisting program staff with custom data reports. When Developing New Web Applications, We Typically Use: Angular Jasmine ASP.NET Core Web API xUnit.net SQL Server/Azure SQL We Also Support Existing: SSRS reports ASP.NET MVC apps ASP.NET Web Forms WCF services We currently use SVN for source control but will be transitioning to Git/GitHub over the next few months. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the following areas: Accessibility: Knowledge of tools, equipment, and technologies used to help individuals with disabilities use computer equipment and software. Analysis and Assessment: Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information. Database Management Systems: Knowledge of the uses of database management systems and software to control the organization, storage, retrieval, security, and integrity of data. Software Engineering: Knowledge of software engineering design and development methodologies, paradigms, and tools; the software life cycle; software reusability; and software reliability metrics. Software Testing and Evaluation: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing software test and evaluation procedures. Minimum Qualifications Analyst/Programmer 1 (Range 14): Successful completion of nine (9) semester hours of college-level coursework in computer languages or system analysis. OR Three months of actual computer programming experience. OR One year of work experience using a computer for analysis, including experience in the use of computer reporting languages, spreadsheets, or statistical packages. Special Note: An applicant who will complete the required college-level coursework within three (3) months of hire qualifies to apply for this job class. An applicant qualifying under this option may receive a job offer conditional upon completion of the required college-level coursework and proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.
