What will you do? Provide technical expertise and support for Knowledge Management initiatives to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness for the Maritime Operations Center (MOC), managed by S. Pacific Fleet, ensuring compliance with key requirements. Identify information needs of Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and staff to facilitate timely and effective decisions. Ensure data is available, accessible, and shared appropriately. Evaluate existing knowledge-sharing efforts and decision-support tools, identifying areas for improvement and providing practical recommendations. Organize, store, and maintain digital information for easy access, ensuring proper categorization, updates, and secure sharing in compliance with Navy records and privacy standards. Support the definition and organization of critical information for COMPACFLT staff, ensuring clarity in data origin, processing, and sharing processes across teams and systems. Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient sharing of electronic and non-electronic knowledge, improving collaboration, reducing redundancy, and preventing miscommunication. Apply best practices in Knowledge Management to improve organization, sharing, and security of information, focusing on continuous process improvements. Assist in structuring and presenting information across platforms to support operational and strategic objectives, making data accessible and usable for teams. Do you have what it takes? Final/Active TOP SECRET clearance (SCI eligible). Experience applying Knowledge Management principles within DoD environments. Experience aligning KM efforts with decision-support needs and strategic planning. Experience supporting and improving Cross-Functional Events (CFEs) and decision-making processes. Ability to identify, structure, and manage information requirements for senior leadership. Experience analyzing and optimizing departmental information exchange for decision-makers. Knowledge of Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs) and operational planning. Experience developing and maintaining structured knowledge repositories (e.g., SharePoint, DoD portals). Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma. Knowledge of DoD Information Governance and data-sharing policies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Experience working with leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate KM into operations. Ability to facilitate workshops, working groups, and training sessions for KM adoption. Proficiency in MS Office, KM platforms, and data visualization or process mapping tools. This is a Military Friendly job opportunity Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay is $55,000-165,000, considering experience, education, and other factors. Final offers may vary based on contractual requirements.
