Our team is a TikTok Intelligent Creation, turning creativity into reality by empowering TikTok's users to express themselves via videos. We aim to become the #1 creative video editing tool with the power of AI and multimedia technologies. We're seeking experienced engineers to join our team. You will be collaborating with our cross-functional teams, consistently rolling out innovative features and improving the user experience for TikTok's creation tool, which is used by tens of millions of creators around the world every day.
Responsibilities: - Work on features to enable TikTok users to create amazing videos on TikTok Android - Refine the user experience, basic performance and code structure around video recording, editing and uploading - Develop a creative tools suite with audio and video editing functionalities for other Bytedance Apps - Bringing cutting-edge AIGC capabilities to TikTok's Android platform to empower content creation.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - Proficiency in at least one of these programming languages: Java, Kotlin - Familiar with Android's framework, network and database options - Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases - Good team communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications - BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors/experience - Deep understanding of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of mobile platforms and Google Clean Architecture is a plus - Experience with developing audio/video products is preferred

Job Information 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $119000 - $250000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure). The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice. For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates: Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
