Applications Systems Analyst I
position is to design SharePoint web application solutions in support of NCDOT's Construction and Materials and Tests business processes that are valuable to the transportation lifecycle.
Duties include, but are not limited, to: Analyze and address complex interdependencies in business processes across applications Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models Align requirements with stakeholders' strategic objectives and priorities Manage and execute IT projects of varying scopes and complexity, delivering new web solutions and enhancing existing applications Create and execute test plans to ensure system functionality and security, compiling results, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation Deliver prompt, efficient, and professional support for the ECM Construction and Special Projects applications Provide rapid and effective resolution for end-user issues while collaborating with technical experts to address code-related challenges when necessary Develop and maintain user-friendly help documentation for common problems to enhance support efficiency Develop and maintain technical documentation for ECM Construction and Special Projects applications About the Division
The primary purpose of the Engineering Applications Services (EAS) Unit is to coordinate and direct the planning, development, or procurement, installation, operation, and support of the following systems for the various Divisions, Branches and Units of the Department: HiCAMS (Highway Construction and Materials System) and related systems; Engineering Design and Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems; Specifications Proposals Estimates and Contracts Systems (SPECS); and Engineering Content Management (ECM).
The primary purpose of the Engineering Content Management (ECM) Unit is to provide IT tools and applications to facilitate the Transportation Lifecycle for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. About the Organization
