UUP Job Summary: The Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at SUNY Downstate's School of Public Health seeks a full-time Assistant Professor (12MO). The candidate will: Teach biostatistics courses to master's and doctoral students. Mentor MPH and doctoral students. Support faculty with biostatistics across the university. Engage in research within a focused area. Required Qualifications: Experience teaching Data Science, program development, and managing biostatistical support. Skills in data visualization, spatial analysis, hierarchical and longitudinal data, complex survey data, mixed methods, quasi-experimental designs, causal inference (propensity score, SEM), non-parametric and semi-parametric methods, statistical learning, and big data analytics (omics, imaging, bioinformatics, EHR). Desirable: Expertise in machine learning and AI for public health research. Proven research record with extramural funding and publications in high-quality journals.
