Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from Ascendo Resources Our client, a rapidly growing private equity owned group of companies in the construction industry based in West Palm Beach area seeks a Controller to oversee the financial operations of multiple locations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Reporting to the General Manager, your role will involve cash management, financial report writing, and general ledger accounting. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire accounting function, leading the monthly closing and running a team of 6. Ideal role not just for a Controller, but also for an accounting manager or assistant controller looking to step up to a controller position. Our client seeks someone with: 6+ years of Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller/Controller experience. Must have a Background in construction industry Expertise in percentage-of-completion accounting, with a strong understanding of revenue recognition, especially in construction and project-based industries. Expertise in accounting software and general ledger systems; comfortable becoming the internal expert on these systems. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. CPA/CMA preferred or equivalent accounting background (Big 4 experience a plus but not required). System implementation experience (preferred) Compensation is $130-$170K depending on experience and prior compensation history.
