Thank you for your interest in employment with Louisiana Tech University. Louisiana Tech University invites applications for the position of the Dean of Graduate School. This is an open search, and all qualified individuals who meet the minimum qualifications (see below) are encouraged to apply. The Dean will provide visionary and strategic leadership to sustain, strengthen, and enhance all graduate programs, including on-campus and online master's, doctoral, and graduate certificate programs. The Dean will work collaboratively with deans and associate deans of the five academic colleges, research center directors, and other campus departments to drive efforts to grow graduate enrollment, support student retention and success, promote student professional development, improve student experience, and facilitate the establishment of new graduate programs. The Dean will report to the Provost and serve on the Council of Academic Deans. Duties and responsibilities of this position include: Ensuring consistency and expediency of graduate application processing; Implementing and monitoring workflows that facilitate exceptional customer service; Chairing the Graduate Council and facilitating its oversight role in graduate studies; Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of graduate degree audits; Providing strategic leadership in proposing and securing approvals for new graduate offerings to meet regional and national needs. Reporting to the Dean are the Assistant Dean of Graduate School, Graduate School Operations Manager, Graduate Admissions and Communications Coordinator, and an Administrative Assistant 3 (classified Civil Service position). A terminal degree, rank of associate or full professor with tenure, and academic leadership experience are required. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of at least one graduate program at the department or college level including curriculum, accreditation, and compliance. Experience in the development and implementation of new graduate programs and initiatives is desirable. The preferred start date is August 1, 2025.
