Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations for the Questrom School of Business .

The Assistant Dean will lead a team of fundraising and stewardship professionals in planning and implementing strategies to enhance the school's advancement capabilities as it moves toward its next comprehensive campaign. In partnership with Dean Susan Fournier and Associate Vice President Lara Brown de Fuenmayor, the Assistant Dean will engage and solicit prospects capable of making significant philanthropic contributions. They will serve on the Dean’s leadership team, mentor staff, and support the Dean’s Advisory Board, shaping the future of the School alongside a dedicated community. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an accomplished development professional to strengthen the program and foster connections within the Questrom community and beyond. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader and advocate, maintaining a strong partnership between Questrom and the Development and Alumni Relations office. The ideal candidate will have at least 14 years of relevant experience, a collaborative style, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for the mission of Questrom and BU. A bachelor’s degree is required. Development & Alumni Relations at BU harnesses philanthropy to support education and research. BU’s campaign efforts are ongoing, with a legacy of significant endowment and fundraising achievements. The Assistant Dean will develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising program, manage a team of five professionals, and build relationships with stakeholders. They will also collaborate with alumni engagement and career services teams to enhance alumni and industry partnerships. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, 14+ years of development experience, and willingness to travel extensively. The role demands excellent communication, relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
