The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training and developing staff, human resources management, and delivering outstanding customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the quality and performance of store staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Model effective leadership to motivate staff towards store goals and standards. Assist with recruitment, training, and development of employees. Provide feedback for performance evaluations. Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet budget goals. Monitor and address issues related to store loss or inventory discrepancies. Ensure operational compliance, safety, and standards are maintained. Support employee training in selling and merchandising techniques. Uphold customer service standards to provide a friendly shopping environment. Assist with merchandise inventory counts. Perform other duties as assigned. Work hours are up to 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications
Minimum of one year retail management experience required. Skills and Knowledge
Strong business knowledge and excellent communication skills. High interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy. Ability to think strategically and organize effectively. Professionalism and discretion. Analytical skills for data gathering and problem-solving. Results-driven with project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Willingness to work across multiple stores in the district. Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. Work extended hours in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $14.13 to $16.13, with bonus opportunities. Full-time roles include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401K. Additional Information
