Assistant Region Administrator – Development (WMS Band 4)
Location:
Spokane, WA – Eastern Region Salary:
$122,544 – $157,164 Annually The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) – Eastern Region (ER) is seeking a licensed professional engineer with a successful track record in managing and delivering high-profile transportation programs and services. As a principal assistant to the Regional Administrator, this individual will be a key member of the Eastern Region executive management team. Responsibilities include: Providing strategic vision and leadership for the ER Project Development Program, which includes preliminary engineering, environmental, and real estate services. Managing and overseeing the development of plans, contract specifications, and cost estimates, with support from WSDOT engineering staff and consultants. Supervising and overseeing an operating budget ranging from $10 to $30 million annually for preliminary engineering and $15 to $25 million annually for right of way. Overseeing approximately 30 projects with a total construction value of $150 - $200 million biennially. Ensuring projects follow appropriate policies and procedures regarding engineering design, environmental review, and right of way acquisition.
