West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatric Pulmonologist and Sleep Medicine physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine in the inpatient and outpatient settings, including primary pulmonary and multidisciplinary clinics. He or she will also extend outreach services via telemedicine to clinics around the state. Procedures, including the provision of bronchoscopies and the interpretation of pulmonary function testing and sleep studies are expected. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. He or she must have completed a pediatrics residency program, as well as a pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine fellowship programs. Successful candidates must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, with additional board certification in Sleep Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The growing six-clinician division is currently staffed with support from a research coordinator, a nurse coordinator, a dietician, a pharmacist, committed pediatric respiratory therapists and social work support. WVU's Mountain State Cystic Fibrosis Center is a CF-Therapeutics Development Network Center, managed within the division. The center's respiratory data are among the best in the country. We also have an AASM accredited sleep lab and pediatric sleep disorders clinic. WVU Medicine Children's Hospital is the premier site within the state for primary through tertiary care of children. The department has close working relationships with colleagues in the pediatric surgical subspecialties and pediatric radiology.
