Are you a seasoned attorney looking to bring your commercial contracts expertise in-house? LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a dynamic and fast-paced company in Durham, NC, seeking a talented In-House Counsel to join their growing legal team. This position is a contract position with full time hours.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and is excited to handle a broad scope of legal responsibilities. You will play a key role in supporting business operations, advising on risk, and drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. Your in-house experience will be invaluable in ensuring legal compliance and supporting corporate governance initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including:
• NDAs and confidentiality agreements
• Independent contractor and consulting agreements
• Government contracts
• Software and hardware agreements
• Master distributor and licensing agreements
• Advising internal stakeholders on contractual rights and obligations, legal risk, and mitigation strategies
• Supporting corporate governance matters, including drafting board resolutions, maintaining corporate records, and assisting with entity management

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership (in good standing)
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience, including:
• Strong in-house experience handling commercial contracts
• Exposure to corporate governance and generalist in-house legal matters
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
