Emergency Medicine Associate Chief Opportunity
HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking an Associate Chief of Emergency Medicine for an opportunity in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine. The position offers a permanent role with flexible scheduling, a comprehensive benefit package, and back-end support services including recruitment, credentialing, renewals, billing, and follow up clinic support. The facility features a 44 bed ED with fast track, 8 hours pediatric ER coverage daily, and critical care sub-specialty support. It sees 55,000 annual patient visits and is affiliated with freestanding EDs: Destin ER & Navarre ER. The hospital is a 309 bed HCA level 2 trauma facility with a medical ICU- 33 beds (plus an additional 8 CVICU beds). It also has a stealth navigation system with O arm and Mazor spine robot, and is a certified primary stroke center. It hosts 3rd and 4th year D.O. students from Auburn's VCOM (D.O.) School, and has an internal medicine residency program. A transitional residency program will start in 2025. The hospital is named among the top 10% in the nation by Healthgrades for cardiac surgery, joint replacement, and patient safety, and listed as 4th highest in the nation for infection prevention by Consumer Reports. It is the area's only accredited Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, and cardiac program offering open heart surgery, Watchman, and TAVR. The Greater Fort Walton Beach area is known for being a family friendly, southern town and is located between Pensacola and Panama City, along Florida's panhandle known as the Emerald Coast. The Emerald Coast has some of the most beautiful, white sand beaches in the world.
