Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week This position is hybrid; required to report on-site and remote work. Hybrid schedule available after completion of onboarding and training.
Lead end-to-end data engineering efforts across the acquisition, ETL/ELT, transformation, storage, and delivery layers. Oversee integration of clinical and operational data sources using tools like Rhapsody, CentralPoint, and SQL-based pipelines. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of pipeline components to support analytics and operational reporting needs. Supervise the development and delivery of structured data assets (datasets, domains, reports) to internal and external stakeholders. Establish repeatable delivery processes with documentation and version control to reduce rework and duplication. Ensure that delivery aligns with service line needs, governance standards, and privacy/security guidelines. Manage and mentor data engineers and analysts, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment. Assign and track work using systems like FreshService, aligning resources to service requests, operational tasks, and data projects. Support goal setting, skills development, and professional growth of staff. Serve as the primary liaison between data engineering and business users, translating requests into actionable engineering tasks. Facilitate discussions to clarify scope, define deliverables, and confirm alignment with business goals. Partner with data governance, privacy, compliance, and application teams to ensure solutions are accurate, secure, and appropriately governed. Monitor pipeline performance and address bottlenecks or quality issues across the data lifecycle. Implement metrics, logs, and review processes to continuously improve data quality, delivery timelines, and team efficiency. Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or a related experience. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics or IT Leadership roles. Strong understanding of modern data architecture, pipelines, and integration practices. Experience with SQL, ETL tools, APIs, and pipeline orchestration frameworks. Familiarity with data integration tools such as Talend, Rhapsody, or similar platforms. Experience with healthcare data management or similar industries is a plus.
