Job Summary
The Director Operational Excellence is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of inventory management, service level excellence, and performance management, within the organization. This individual will ensure efficient inventory planning, compliance, project planning and distribution control to support business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and minimize costs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, proven leadership experience, and a results-driven approach to ensure the right products are available at the right time and place to meet customer and business needs.

Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive inventory management strategy aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and customer demands. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing inventory management team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Inventory Optimization: Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock levels to minimize carrying costs while avoiding stockouts or overstocking. Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics and forecasting tools to predict inventory needs, optimize supply chain operations, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Supplier and Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and establish strong partnerships. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key departments such as procurement, operations, sales, and finance to align inventory goals with overall business objectives. Work closely with customer account management teams to tailor operational solutions to client needs, translating customer requirements into operational action plans. Act as a senior escalation point for any service issues, swiftly addressing root causes to maintain trust and demonstrate a commitment to customer-focused operational excellence. Service Level Excellence: Align operational strategies with customer success objectives by ensuring all service level agreements are met or exceeded through proactive management. Implement process improvements aimed at boosting on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance, directly contributing to higher customer satisfaction. Process Improvement: Design and implement robust inventory policies, procedures, and technologies to improve accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Implement warehouse layout and design changes to optimize space utilization, improve material flow and support evolving customer requirements. Compliance and Reporting: Develop and Implement KPI for all critical operational areas and use real-time dashboards to monitor these metrics. Establish regular reporting on inventory performance, KPIs, and cost control initiatives. Ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, company policies, and industry standards across warehouse activities. Develop compliance programs and audit routines to uphold protocols.
