About the Role:
CHCP (The College of Health Care Professions) is seeking a dedicated
Director of Financial Aid
to lead our campus Financial Aid Department. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for guiding students through financial aid planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering an ethical, supportive team environment. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable leader with deep Title IV expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed. What You’ll Do:
Oversee and manage all daily operations of the Financial Aid Department. Lead and support a team that includes the Assistant Director, Financial Aid Advisors, and Administrative Staff. Counsel prospective, current, and returning students (and their families) on aid eligibility and application processes. Ensure timely and compliant packaging, awarding, and disbursement of financial aid. Review FAFSA data, ISIRs, and resolve verification issues and C codes. Conduct required Entrance and Exit Counseling for borrowers. Collaborate with Admissions and other departments to enhance the student experience. Maintain clean, compliant, and audit-ready financial aid files. Ensure adherence to federal, state, accreditation, and institutional policies. Provide training, mentorship, and performance reviews for financial aid staff. Lead departmental trainings, policy updates, and team-building initiatives. Analyze financial aid reports and work with third-party servicers to optimize processes. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum
5 years of financial aid experience
in a post-secondary education setting. Strong knowledge of
Title IV regulations
and financial aid compliance. Experience with
CampusVue
or similar student information systems (preferred). Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service abilities. Why Join CHCP?
