ServiceNow Developer Description for Internal Candidates The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to support business processes and deliver digital workflow solutions. The role involves hands-on development across various ServiceNow modules, ensuring adherence to platform best practices, security, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows based on business requirements. Configure forms, fields, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and notifications. Implement modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and others based on project needs. Create and manage automated workflows using Flow Designer and Orchestration. Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and other APIs. Support upgrades, patching, and overall platform health and performance optimization. Work closely with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, maintain stories/tasks in ServiceNow Agile or Jira. Assist with unit testing, UAT, and deployment of new solutions and enhancements. Maintain documentation of configuration, customizations, and changes. Follow established coding standards and best practices; participate in peer code reviews. Ensure data integrity, security, and governance compliance across the platform. Technical Skills: Strong experience in ServiceNow development and configuration. Experience with ServiceNow modules like ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM. Working knowledge of integration tools and protocols (REST, SOAP, MID Server). Experience with CMDB, custom applications, and Performance Analytics is a plus. Familiarity with ServiceNow App Engine Studio, Studio IDE, and scoped apps. Basic understanding of CI/CD tools, Git, and DevOps pipelines in ServiceNow context. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams. Agile/Scrum mindset with ability to adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) –
