Job Responsibilities
SME on Power BI and Excel reporting for a subgroup within the Electric Transmission & Substation organization.
Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data.
Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations.
Understand the business operations aspect of the data to presents findings and recommendations to leaders.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline. 4+ years of business analyst experience, or related role.
Desired Education and Experience Master of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline. 6+ years of business analyst experience, or related role. Experience working for a utility, ideally electric utility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in Power Platform; with an emphasis on Power BI Desktop usage of DAX and Power Query and connecting and transforming multiple data source types. Proficient in Excel. Broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics. Ability to understand and explain the underlying business meaning and drivers to explain the data. Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management. Strong organization to prioritize and track all work and action items with minimal supervisory oversight. Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity.
