General Production Worker
Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you'll play a vital role in supporting machine operators in manufacturing and packaging metal roofing and siding. You'll be cross-trained in various areas, primarily focusing on inspecting products, verifying quality with a tape measure, and packaging finished goods. Your duties will also include packaging products, preparing them for shipment, and building custom wood skids using hand tools to secure the products. Assist machine operators with press, shear, and roll forming tasks. Inspect products and verify quality using a tape measure. Package finished goods and prepare them for shipment. Build custom wood skids using hand tools, skill saws, and staple guns. Pick orders from a PO sheet and load them into a tub, including boxing and labeling screws and bolts. Operate forklifts and assist with press brake or shearing machines, if needed. Experience with packaging, hand tools, and machine operation. Construction or experience using power tools. Ability to meet production/manufacturing deadlines and quotas. Hands-on physical labor experience. Flexibility and willingness to learn all departments within the shop. Prior forklift experience is beneficial. Data entry experience for order filling and label creation. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. Work in a metal roofing machine shop with approximately 15-20 employees. The shop is clean but can be loud, requiring ear plugs. The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
