Market Development Manager - North America

Meat & Livestock Australia We are searching for a motivated and dynamic Market Development Manager to join MLA's North American team in a full-time contract role. Location: Washington DC, USA. About the Role This position is the ideal opportunity for a relationship builder with initiative who thrives on travel and is eager to make a meaningful difference in a vital industry. This diverse and exciting role reports to MLA's regional Manager - North America in the team officially responsible for promoting Australia's largest single export to the USA. Key Responsibilities Market Development:
Implement programs to grow the sales value of Australian beef, lamb, and goat meat across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Partnerships:
Forge strong collaborations with exporters, importers, brand owners, food service operators, and retailers to support the growth of Australian red meat sales. Insights:
Translate market insights into actionable programs that drive the use of Australian red meat in North America. Project Management:
Oversee budgets, timelines, and service providers to ensure successful project execution. Evaluation:
Assess and report the return on investment (ROI) of marketing initiatives to maximize effectiveness of resources committed to developing the market for Australian beef, lamb and goat in North America. Travel:
Undertake frequent travel across the US, Canada, and Mexico, to conduct programs in all channels to market to promote Australian red meat. Qualifications Education: A degree in Marketing, Business, Agriculture, or related fields. Experience: A minimum of 5 years in marketing, business development, sales or a related discipline with a proven track record of success. Experience in the food and beverage industry is ideal. Skills: Excellent communication skills and outstanding at managing relationships, projects and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must. Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in Spanish and French would be valuable assets but not essential.
