Position Overview:

Ignite IT is seeking a Mobile Architect to lead architecture, design, and implementation efforts for mobile applications and cloud- services supporting client programs. This role focuses on ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient delivery of enterprise solutions in multi-cloud environments with an emphasis on modernization, mobility, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

n
• Design end-to-end architecture for mobile platforms and cloud- applications supporting Decennial operations.
n
• Provide architectural oversight and strategic guidance on solutions deployed in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
n
• Collaborate with product owners, federal leadership, development teams, and security SMEs to ensure secure, compliant, and high-performance design.
n
• Lead the migration and optimization of applications and workloads to cloud- services.
n
• Oversee mobile development frameworks, API integration, and mobile device management (MDM) configurations.
n
• Provide senior-level guidance on Microsoft Intune configuration, deployment, and integration within mobile and cloud environments.
n
• Provide technical leadership in CI/CD pipeline design, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
n
• Develop and maintain architectural artifacts (diagrams, interface specs, data flows, etc.).
n
• Support operational planning, troubleshooting, and escalations for mobile and cloud production environments.
n
• Conduct architectural reviews and enforce best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and governance.
n
• Guide compliance with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and data protection standards.
n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver modernized capabilities across web, mobile, and data platforms.
n

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

n
• 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in cloud architecture roles.
n
• Must be a U.S. and able to obtain or maintain Public Trust clearance.
n
• MUST HAVE senior-level hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for mobile device management, endpoint protection, and enterprise integration.
n
• Strong expertise with AWS (GovCloud), Azure Government, and hybrid cloud environments.
n
• Experience leading architecture for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
n
• Proven ability to architect container-based solutions (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
n
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
n
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth2, and integration patterns for mobile services.
n
• Demonstrated experience supporting federal IT programs or large-scale enterprise systems.
n
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
n

Qualifications:

n
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
n
• Experience with federal statistical agencies.
n
• Familiarity with Enterprise Data Lake (EDL), CEDSCI, and enterprise service buses.
n
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and Federation.
