Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and technically skilled Surveillance Operator to monitor a network of surveillance cameras across multiple off-site business locations. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of properties after business hours by identifying and reporting suspicious activity in real time.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor live surveillance feeds from multiple locations during non-business hours. Detect and assess suspicious or unauthorized activity and promptly report incidents to the appropriate authorities. Review and analyze recorded footage to investigate past events or verify incidents. Maintain accurate logs and incident reports. Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning properly and report any technical issues. Collaborate with law enforcement or internal security teams as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience operating surveillance camera systems (CCTV, IP-based systems). Proficiency in reviewing and navigating recorded video footage. Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Competency in Microsoft Excel for logging and reporting. Basic understanding of internet protocols (IP), networking, and remote access tools. Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness. Ability to remain alert and focused during extended periods of monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance operations. Familiarity with video management software (VMS) platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
