Job Description
You will be part of a team qualifying new classes of BMS algorithms and architectures to enhance battery utility in Apple products. Responsibilities include:
- Using advanced electrical, chemical engineering, and mathematics to validate BMS algorithms' performance.
- Developing simulation and physical tests to validate the state of charge and power of battery systems.
- Creating verification methods to detect early battery abnormalities during product design.
- Reviewing qualification data, identifying anomalies, performing failure analysis, and assessing risks.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience in BMS algorithm, firmware, or software development and validation.
- Proficiency in Python or C/C++.
- Experience working with electrical circuits.
Preferred Experience
- At least 3 years in BMS algorithm, firmware, or software development or validation.
- Experience with lithium-ion battery modeling.
- Proficiency in time-series data analysis.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to take initiative and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective collaboration with team members and cross-functional teams.
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay ranges from $147,400 to $272,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
