Creative Learning Center in Redwood City is hiring a Full-time Behavior Program Specialist starting at $30/hr with benefits. CLC, part of the Learn It Family of Companies, is a certified K-12 Private Day School focused on meeting the academic and social needs of children requiring personalized behavioral and educational support. We value collaboration, integrity, and a passion for helping children and families. We offer training and mentorship for candidates with limited experience. This role is ideal for those interested in working with children with special needs, with backgrounds in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or Healthcare. Certification supervision is available for those seeking BCBA certification or internships, and candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree who pass the CBEST can apply to become a Substitute Teacher through the CA Department of Education. Responsibilities include:
Providing billable service hours On-the-job mentoring and skill development Daily behavior support to students Parent education and social skills services Supervision and training of behavior technicians Quarterly behavior data reports Providing instructional support and behavior monitoring Implementing ABA treatment plans Data collection on student progress Maintaining records of student progress Reinforcing academic behaviors Supporting community and recreational activities Using de-escalation and restraint techniques (CPI training) Performing additional duties as assigned Minimum qualifications:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred 1-2 years’ experience with children with special needs preferred Ability to collaborate and accept feedback Professional and clinical demeanor Physical ability to perform crisis management techniques Ability to perform various physical postures and lift up to 100 pounds We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and referral bonuses.
