Mechanical Engineer
to lead the design and development of critical components for high-reliability ion source and beamline systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and optimize mechanical components (housing, cooling, supports). Conduct thermal and structural analysis for system reliability. Support fabrication, assembly, and testing processes. Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and manufacturing standards. Provide hands-on support during installation and commissioning. Document designs and prepare technical reports. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for high-reliability systems. Skilled in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS). Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. Team player with cross-disciplinary collaboration experience. Preferred Experience: Background in accelerator systems or ion source components. Thermal optimization and EMC standards familiarity (e.g., IEC 61000). Knowledge of ASME/ISO technical drawing standards. Seniority level
